Default Skill Bar - Presets

I attempted to submit a suggestion to GW and got back a reply directing me to post my idea on the forums so GW could read them and see if the community supports the suggestion. So . . .

Suggestion: Place 4 skill memory slots in the skills window. Each slot would allow the player to save the current skill set-up in the skill window. The player could then set-up 4 useable hotkey skill sets which would only need to be clicked on to assign that group of skills. Underneath each skill hotkey slot could be a text field naming that group of skills, or a dropdown menu with basic categories for skills groupings.

After managing several characters I find that I spend a fair amount of time reading through the skills list. I change my skills frequently for PvP and PvE. I forget which skills worked well together or which sequence I had them in.

I feel that skills hotkey slots would allow for quicker selection depending on what you will be playing.

Hopefully the community will add ideas and suggestions or simply give the needed support GW requires.

I've been thinking of this myself. It makes sense. I am constantly switching between MM necro and SS necro with an occasional Orders build thrown in. I can almost do it blindfolded in a few seconds, but I am doing it all the time and wish it was just a keystoke away like the weapon sets.

well this has been suggested before, but its still a good idea. kind of surprising that a game like guild wars doesn't have this feature, considering how often one changes their builds and skills.

but yeah. mentioned before. i'm sure its probably in the index of ideas thread. (in the suggestions forum)

It has been suggested pretty much since the game came out, and it still makes sense.

Love the idea! I honestly would have thought i'd be there by now, particularly since it's such a PvP friendly feature (as much or more than PvE). I'm sure it'll be there one day, and that'll be a happy day.

QFT! For example: I would love to be able to easily switch from a sword, to a hammer, to axe, to a tank build quickly and easily on my warrior.

He took the suggestion a step farther, I like the UI part of it, put it in the skill menu, makes perfect sense. Listen to your player base Anet this doesn't seem like it would be hard to incorporate.

I'd to have under the skills window another tab saying builds which you can carry up to say...4-5 builds, that would make my day easier. I can always redo my attributes for now...but its hard on even monks and warriors that go from sword to axe is hard to switch skills all the time. It would reduce the time from 3-10 minutes to change----> to 30secs-2 minutes.
BTW, other thread FTW!

Aye, skill sets have been suggested many times before.

However, this thread's idea shows some innovativity compared to the original 'Let us save skillbars'. So I'll put away the key and not lock this

Oh, and... /signed.

Anyways I am glad.
